Members of the Brunnek family had high military and civil functions. For example Wilhelm Magnus von Brunnnek was Major and governor of Krolewiec, Klajpeda and Pilawa, general inspector of all the oriental prusian regiments in 1805. and become marechal-ferrand. The count Magnus Roland von Brunneck was the first burgrave of the Malbork castle and in 1900 he became count. He was member of the Joanit order convention Le last owner of Baloszyce, the count Manfred von Brunneck became in 1907, starost of Krolewiec, and since 1916 voivod of oriental prussia. For his activity in the domains of culture and science, the university of Krolewiec gave him the title of doctor honoris causa. The property of Baloszyce stayed in the Brunneck family up to 1945.

After the world war two, the palace accomodated the national breeding center. In the 70' , many works have been made to transform the palace in a recreation center. In 2002, the palace and its dependancies ( 13.5 ha ) have been buyed by its actual owner, modernized and adapted to its hostelery functions.
